So, our hiatus begins on Wednesday, when we set sail for Portland with our friend Shirley, our kids and our bicycles en route to Portland. All that fresh air and exercise is bound to generate fresh ideas, right? Or at least leave us refreshed and ready to get back to it. Whatever excuse we use, I’m really excited about being outside most of the day, most days. It’s not Spain or Portugal, but this one’s just for the sheer enjoyment of it, with no publishing goal in mind.
Now we’ve both made it to Leon, it’s time to take stock of what we have left to do, organize all the brochures that the wonderful Daphne del C has sent. We still have to get to Santiago, but we also have to do all the other publishing things, like cover design, ISBNs, page extent, printer quotes, stylesheets, etc.
So, I feel a to-do list coming on. A scary one, with deadlines.
